EOS EXPEDITIONARY

Astronauts will use the Expeditionary to conduct science missions that are quite a distance away from the space station. It will support free–flying experiments and sensors while conducting all maintenance and repairs.

The crew will live and work inside a CM2_06–06–30–6212 (Images 1 and 2).

The CM will be used in two different configurations. Utility Vehicles (UVs) will be attached whilst in space ship mode, and an Orbital Vehicle (OV) attached whilst in rocket ship mode (Image 3).

The garage will be filled with tools, equipment, and spare parts.

OV STACK
This configuration will carry the crew and the garage to a circular orbit with an altitude of no more than 1,051 km. This will ensure that all sensors pointed down in this orbit will drift westward, increasing the amount area to survey. The crew will support the various science and industrial modules located there.
