Calcium Chloride Salt and Liquid Nitrogen can transform lunar dirt into Liquid Oxygen (Image 1).

The modules input dirt and LN2 and output LO2. Liquid Hydrogen is imported from Earth to complete the two–part formula for rocket fuel.
Lunar LOX Half–Singlewide Modules
- Calcium Chloride Container
- Calcium Chloride Distributor
- Gaseous Oxygen Collector and Compressor
- Liquid Nitrogen Container
- Liquid Oxygen Collector and Distributor
- Power Distributor
Each of the 6 modules will have a mass of 10,500 kg, for a total of 63,000 kg.
Additional accessories are needed, namely two LO2/LN2 input/output extended docking rings and the receptacles that the modules will be placed on (Image 2). These receptacles will slide along a rail that will allow the modules to connect and disconnect easily.

COMPONENT MASS
LOX Module Receptacle and Rail Set = 10,500 kg
Tanker Receptacle and Rails Set = 2,500 kg
LN2 Tanker Receptacle and Rails Set = 1,500 kg
LO2 / LN2 Extended Rings = 5,250 kg
ACCESSORY MASS
Accessories = LOX Rails + 3 x Tanker Rails + 2 x LN2 Tanker Rails + 2 x LO2 / LN2 Rings
Accessories = 10500 + 3(2500) + 2(1500) + 2(5250)
Accessories = 10500 + 7500 + 3000 + 10500
Accessories = 31,500 kg
Once the modules are locked into place, the tanker receptacles and rails will be laid down and secured. Lastly, two LO2/LN2 input/output extended docking rings are installed (Image 3).

Note that, except for the LH2 tanker, the trailers can carry two tankers at a time.
Before we can deliver the LOX Core, we must first place Trailers on the ground to transport each element (Note: the initial set of trailers will equal half of the total needed).
TRAILER MASS
Trailer Set = 20 x Trailer Mass
Trailer Set = 20(2100)
Trailer Set = 42,000 kg
We will need moon–moving equipment. This will take the form of an SV with a Crane / Extra battery (Option 2) and two with a Crane / Backhoe combination (Option 4).
UNCREWED SURFACE VEHICLE MASS
SVs = SV Option 2 + 2 x SV Option 4
SVs = 21000 + 2(21000)
SVs = 21000 + 42000
SVs = 63,000 kg
The Regolith and LO2 Tankers will be brought down empty.
SUBSTANCE TANKER MASS
Tankers = 6 x (2 x Regolith Tanker)) + 4 x (2 x LO2 Tanker))
Tankers = 6(2(5292)) + 4(2(2785))
Tankers = 63504 + 22280
Tankers = 85,784 kg
REAGENT TANKER MASS
Reagents = 2 x (CaCl Tanker + LN2 Tanker)
Reagents = 2(10500 + 10500)
Reagents = 2(21000)
Reagents = 42,000 kg
The entire un–crewed facility mas can therefore be calculated:
LUNAR OXYGEN FACILITY MASS
LOX Airframe = Trailer Set + Core + SVs + Tankers + Reagents
LOX Airframe = 42000 + 84000 + 63000 + 85784 + 42000
LOX Airframe = 316,784 kg
The four LH2 Tankers will be imported only after the facility becomes operational.
