LSS AIRFRAME

Our moon base is a freight and passenger destination station.

It will be assembled on the lunar surface with the Earth permanently overhead.

VentureStar Reentry Vehicles (RVs) will bring up the parts and astronauts in orbit will use the same technique that we used to build up the Lunar LOX facility to build up the Lunar Surface Station (LSS). One Cislunar Vehicle (CV) will carry the LSS parts, whilst the other CV carries the Lunar Vehicle (LV) lander.

The station parts will all be in the shape of singlewide cylinders to accommodate the cargo space in the shuttle, just like our Earth Orbit Station (EOS). The LSS will have many of the same features as the EOS.

We will use the USIS Pressurized Docking Ring to attach modules and allow people to move between them.

Scrubbing CO2 from station atmosphere will be accomplished by using the zeolite vacuum technique, where Carbon Dioxide molecules attach themselves to the zeolite material and then are cleansed by exposing the soiled material to the vacuum of space. Lather rise repeat.

Spaceflight crews will operate around the clock, with roughly half of the crew on the Day Shift and the rest on the Night Crew. Each shift will have a duration of 12 hours.

The internal features of the cylinders will be determined by a committee of experts that will include psychologists and interior designers.

We will also use the same Surface Vehicles (SVs) and crew that were used for the Lunar LOX facility (Image 1).
