Astronauts will use the Expeditionary vehicle to conduct science missions that are quite a distance away from the lunar base. It will support standalone experiments and sensors while conducting all maintenance and repairs.
The lunar expeditionary vehicle is a duplicate of the Earth Orbit Station Expeditionary, except this Crew Module (Image 1) will sit on top of a Garage which will be mounted on a Lunar Vehicle (LV) or a Surface Vehicle (SV) with a Crane (Image 2).
