Astronauts will use the Outpost to perform EVAs and closeup visual inspections. It will support the lunar base in conducting all maintenance and repairs.
The outpost is a duplicate of the Earth Orbit Station Outpost, except this Crew Module (Image 1 and Image 2) will sit on top of a Connector, which will sit on top of a Garage which will be mounted on a Surface Vehicle (SV) with a Crane (Image 3).

The Connector will be used as an emergency airlock. The garage will be filled with tools, equipment, and spare parts.
