EXPENSES

Between manufacturing and operating spacecraft to deciding which charity will receive our largess, the business will, to the view of some economists, be bleeding money. Total expenses will be in the billions annually, with no end in sight.

::

The company will eventually employ around 5,000 people when fully operational. Most will be in the manufacturing section of the business.

Since we want to treat our employees very well, they will be very well compensated for their labor. Payroll expenses will include salary, medical insurance, other types of insurance, pension contributions, paternal and maternal leave, etc.

This special care we will give to our employees will cost the company quite a large sum of money: half–a–million dollars for each person.

PAYROLL

Payroll = Number of Employees x Annual Cost per Employee
Payroll = 5,000 x $500,000
Payroll = $2,500,000,000 USD / year

Quarterly: $625,000,000 USD

Yearly: $2,500,000,000 USD

::

Other expenditures include manufacturing, operations, reinvestment, and charitable giving, among other costs. Table 1 summarizes the approximate amount that the business will be expended to spend:

This is an incredible amount of money, unless, of course, revenue happens to exceed expenses.
